Getting Here

Porto and Lisbon airports are both just under 2 hours drive away, with Porto being the closest.  Both are serviced by low cost airlines from several UK airports. Cheap flights can be booked with Ryanair to Porto or with Easyjet to both Lisbon and Porto. TAP is the Portuguese low cost airline which flies from Heathrow and Gatwick to both Lisbon and Porto. 

Airport Transfers

Coimbra Airport Shuttle operates a door-to-door shared transfer between the Center of Portugal and both Lisbon and Oporto airports.  The Coimbra Airport Shuttle service offers numerous daily shuttles going to or departing from the airports.  The schedules are regular, reliable, and adapted in accordance with flight timetables.  The aim is to provide great value quality service.  For shuttle times, prices and bookings click here.

Car Hire

Driving offers you a greater chance to explore the region during your stay and cheap car hire is available at Lisbon and Porto airports. There are a number of different rental companies which can be booked over the internet prior to your arrival, with most of them offering satnav as an optional extra.  Economy Car Rentals provide competitive prices.

Trains

Although the journey from the airport is slightly quicker by car it is also possible to reach us by train.  Fast and cheap intercity trains run from the mainline stations in Porto (Campanhã) and Lisbon (Oriente) to Coimbra B, where we can arrange to collect you.  The train from Campanhã takes an hour after a 30 minute metro from airport to Campanhã station.  From Lisbon the train takes 1hr 50mins after a 5 minute taxi or the new metro to Oriente station.  The Portuguese Railways website www.cp.pt gives train timetables and fare information and it is possible to book tickets online for your return journey.  Please contact us for latest timetable and detailed instructions on reaching us by train.

Private Transfer

Private transfer to and from the airport or train station can be arranged at an additional cost.  Please give us as much notice as possible if you require private transfers by emailing flash@delucci.co.uk. 

Covid Testing

The safety of our guests and team members is our number one priority. With varying government restrictions, we are constantly reviewing our procedures to ensure we operate in line with these. With this in mind, please ensure you check the guidance or regulations applicable to you before travelling. If you are required to have a Covid test before travel you can find a list of testing centres on the Covid Testing Network website.
